And it is a well-known fact that the language spoken by the Romanians is a Latin-based language, unlike the languages of all the other regions. E' a tutti noto che la lingua parlata dai romeni è una lingua latina, a differenza delle lingue di tutte le altre regioni. As a citizen of Rome and as a citizen of Europe, I am grateful to Finland for having taken the decision to inaugurate this half year's presidency of the Union in Latin, as well. Come cittadino romano e come cittadino europeo, ringrazio la Finlandia per aver deciso di inaugurare questo semestre di Presidenza dell’Unione anche in lingua latina.
